Image Tuner - Resize, rename, convert, watermark your digital photos
Let's suppose you have a large photo collection and you need to resize them all, for publishing on a web site. In this case, you can go about it the slow way or the quick way. The slow way goes something like this: open each pic individually in the image editor of your choice, and resize the pics one at a time. It will take some time to get the job done, but it will get done.
Or you can go about it the fast way, which involves using a specialized application that can batch resize images. Such an application is Image Tuner. This is an easy to use application that provides support for more than 40 image formats and can rapidly resize large quantities of images. But the functionality of the program doesn't limit to resizing pictures, as it can also convert them from one format to another, it can rename them automatically or add an image watermark.
Image Tuner has no problem installing on any version of the Windows operating system. It takes up little hard disk space and requires low system resources, even if it has to process a large number of pictures.
The interface of the program is simple and allows easy adding of images using the top graphical buttons. Thus, images can be added one by one or all together. Even complete image folders can be imported into the program. The program supports a huge number of image file formats, even the ones that are not so widely used. After the images have been imported, they can be easily resized by selecting one of the presets or by entering the new size manually. The user can also convert them into one of the most popular image formats, thus assuring they can be viewed in any circumstances.
Images can be renamed automatically using various rules. Watermarks can also be applied to images but, unfortunately, the program doesn't offer any options for customizing the watermark, like setting the transparency level or the position.
The library of images can be saved as a file in case the program is reinstalled and the user wants to have in the program all the images imported in the past.
Pros:
It supports a wide range of graphical formats. Furthermore, it can process more pictures at once, allowing the user to add complete image folders into the program. Besides that, images can be resized and converted all at once, thus saving time and effort.
Cons:
There are no settings for customizing the watermark, like changing the position or setting the transparency level.
Image Tuner is an awesome image processing tool that can handle large collections of images at once.
